The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program assists Illinois communities that do not receive a HUD direct entitlement allocation with their economic and community development needs. The CDBG focuses on Public Infrastructure, Housing Rehabilitation, Economic Development, Critical Assistance, and Revolving Fund.
Wednesday will begin with Housing Rehabilitation grant application information. The afternoon session will cover common areas of the program applications, GATA requirements, and other CDBG program information. You can pick up your name tag at either registration segment. You can network with your peers over coffee in the morning or during our afternoon break.
On Thursday morning we’ll have concurrent sessions cover two program areas, Public Infrastructure & Economic Development. A mandatory meeting for communities with Revolving Loan Funds is scheduled for the afternoon.
By planning the sessions in this way we hope that some attendees will not need to spend the night while others will have the opportunity to travel in the morning and just stay one night.
PLEASE BRING A COPY OF THE APPLICATION GUIDEBOOK WITH YOU, [DOWNLOAD HERE].
Copies will not be available at the Workshop.
There is no fee for this Workshop. However, please plan to pay for your personal meals, travel, and lodging. The Hotel is located in downtown Springfield with plenty of restaurants for your dining pleasure as well as places to shop and sites to see.
